ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS:
All of our products are one-of-a-kind and are handmade in our small studio in Pazardjik, Bulgaria. We use only locally and sustainably harvested or salvaged Bulgarianhardwoods. The hardwoods we choose contain beautiful, naturally occurring figurations that add to the unique loveliness of each piece. Skillful attention to detail and commitment to sustainability are what separate our cutting boards from the rest. All of our board receive the same painstaking handwork as our highest-end custom made furniture. Each goes through several stages of refinement to create the overall form and function of a sculptural, “rustico moderno” object that is so much more than just a cutting board. Every piece receives several hand-rubbings of organic linseed oil to ensure a smooth, professional surface. The wood is carefully selected and shaped to highlight spectacular grain, knots, wormholes, and the “noble rot” of spalted wood.
